Sprout

Sprout is a SaaS platform for gyms and fitness studios, bringing memberships, class schedules, family accounts, and billing together. The work included the backend for staff and family portals, plus per-location Stripe Connect billing with automated recurring charges.

Staff & family portal backend

Built the backend for the staff and family portals, supporting gym operations and parent self-service.

Automated billing

Implemented Stripe Connect billing for each location, with automated recurring charges.

Staff & administration

Staff manage programs, classes, enrollments, and attendance. Superadmins set up organizations and locations.

Family portal

Parents browse sessions, add students to their cart, sign policies, and pay online through a self-service enrollment flow.

Class operations

Recurring schedules generate class sessions automatically. Enrollment supports capacity, age, and gender rules, waitlists, trial requests, and transfers between classes.

Attendance & discovery

Attendance is tracked per session. Cancellations can issue credits for makeup classes, and an embeddable, filterable catalog makes classes available publicly.

Enrollment & checkout

Admin enrollment supports proration, registration fees, discounts, and promo codes. Parent self-enrollment combines a shopping cart, policy signatures, and Stripe Checkout.

Payments & credits

Stripe Connect handles per-location payments, recurring billing, and payment plans. The platform also supports family credit balances, refunds, store sales, and daily automated enrollment billing.

Policies & communication

Versioned policies require digital signatures before checkout. SendGrid email and Twilio SMS support communication, with inbound replies tracked on family records and a staff notification inbox.

Reporting

Reports cover enrollments, drops, accounts receivable, makeup usage, and incomplete attendance, alongside store revenue, sales tax, and deposit slip exports.
